Diaspora issues and the need for the trilateral cooperation to continue and remain productive were discussed during a videoconference on Friday between Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou, Minister of Immigration & Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister responsible for Greeks Abroad Costas Vlassis.

According to a press release, it was decided that a new videoconference will take place on July 18 with the participation of doctors of the diaspora to discuss ways to support the three countries and their expatriates, on health issues mostly related to the pandemic. It was also decided that the competent authorities in the three countries should take actions as regard the tourist industry especially during these hard times because of the Covid-19 crisis.

Photiou, Makram and Vlassis also agreed that they should remain in touch and close coordination and cooperation to address all issues and challenges ahead.
