Cambridge United midfielder Jack Roles’ strike against Macclesfield Town has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two goal of the month award for October.

The 20-year-old Spurs loanee’s 30-yard, instinctive effort was the first of the game, which ended 2-2.

He has scored three goals in 11 games since arriving from north London, although hasn’t featured for the U’s since their goalless draw with Grimsby Town on October 22.

It caps a good few days for the youngster, who also won the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month award for October

Jack Roles has also represented Cyprus at International level U19,U21 and Full international.
