Police remain at the scene of a possible chemical incident at a commercial premises at Brompton Road.

Officers were called at 14:22hrs on Wednesday, 30 October, to reports of a possible noxious substance having been spilled inside the venue.

Road closures were established as a precaution. These are in the process of being removed.

Officers remain at the scene and a small cordon remains in place.

Police do not believe that there is any danger to the public.

The incident is not being treated as terror related but the famous department store Harrods was evacuated.

One person was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service as a precaution having complained of breathing difficulty.

The substance will be further examined in due course.
