Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Camden have named her as 22-year-old Sahkira Mercedes Gwendolin Loseke.

Police were called at 23:13hrs on Sunday, 8 September to reports of a stabbing on Belmont Street, NW1.

Officers attended and found a woman suffering from a stab injury. They immediately provided first aid until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service.

The woman, who has today been formally identified as Sahkira Loseke, was pronounced dead at the scene at 23:55hrs.

A post-mortem examination held on Thursday, 12 September gave the cause of death as a single stab wound.

Police arrested a 26-year-old woman [B] on suspicion of murder on Thursday, 12 September. She was taken to an east London police station where she remains.

A 35-year-old woman [A] who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder has now been released under investigation.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command continue to investigate.
