The Cyprus National football teams had a very busy weekend with the Senior, U21’s and U19’s having a busy week.

The senior team drew their first game of the week drawing with Kazakhstan 1-1 after being a goal down in the 7th minute and Sotiriou equalised in the 38th minute for Cyprus. In their second game Cyprus easily won 4-0 in San Marino in their Euro 2020 qualifier on Monday night their goals coming from Kousoulos 2, Artymata and Papoulis . The result takes Cyprus up to third place in Group I on seven points, but a massive 11 points behind group leaders Belgium, who hammered Scotland 4-0 at Hampden Park. Russia are in second place on 15 points in the group after a 1-0 win over Kazakhstan.

Cyprus Senior side

The U21’s that included two UK Cypriots Ruel Sotiriou from Leyton Orient and Nicholas Tsaroulla from Brentford played two games they lost to Norway 2-1 and lost to the Netherlands 5-1 with Ruel Sotiriou scoring Cyprus only goal.

Cyprus U21’s

The U19’s had an up and down time losing to Austria 4-0 and beating Turkey 1-0 but losing their final game to Latvia 2-1 with Antonis Vasiliou of Barnet playing for them.
