Appeal following fail-to-stop collision at Highbury and Islington

Police are appealing for information after a car appeared to be deliberately driven into members of the public in Islington.

At around 02:00hrs on Saturday, 21 September, police were called to a collision between a car and a number of pedestrians outside Highbury and Islington Underground Station.

One man, aged in his 20s, was found with injuries and taken to hospital. His injuries have since been assessed as non-life threatening.

It is believed that the driver of the car deliberately mounted the pavement and hit the pedestrians following an earlier altercation.

The car, thought to be a black hatchback, was then driven away at speed northbound along Holloway Road.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or believes they saw the car shortly afterwards to get in touch via 101 quoting reference Cad 857/21Sep.
