Four Cypriot men were arrested midday today Wednesday 14th November 2018 three from Famagusta area aged 27, 36 and 44 and a 35 year old from Nicosia in connection with the murder of Gary Christodoulou who was from Liverpool in the UK.

They will appear in court on Thursday.

Gary Christodoulou was found dead – with two gunshots to his head – late on November 1, in an acacia grove around 100 metres from his car, which had been driven into a ditch next to the hard shoulder of the Rizoelia to Ayia Napa road motorway.

Police in Cyprus were first alerted to the car, which was discovered on the road between Ayia Napa and Rizoelia. According to local reports, the engine was running and the headlights were on, without any sign of a driver.

Gary’s family have been told he escaped the car before being fatally shot in the acacia grove. He was found at 11.50pm on Thursday – less than two hours after the abandoned car was reported.
