Cypriot cyclist clinches bronze medal in World University Cycling Championship

Cypriot cyclist Andreas Miltiades clinched the third place in the Individual Time Trial of the World University Cycling Championship’s that takes place in Braga, Portugal.

A press release issued by Cyprus University Sports Federation, notes that representing Cyprus, Miltiades covered the 26-km long distance in 34.40 minutes finishing third, behind Poland’s Piotr Konwa and Australia’s Liam Magennis.

The ITT’s top-ten was occupied by cyclists who are members of world pro tour teams, the press release says.

Miltiades represents Cyprus’ colours in three of the Championship’s tour events. Today he will take part in the XCO Mountain Bike, starting from the second spot in start list in a 4.8 km technical route covered seven times.
