Cypriot athletes win medals in European water ski youth games in Ukraine 

Two Cypriot athletes have won medals in the European water ski youth championship, which took place in Dnipro, Ukraine, from August 22 to 26.

According to the Cyprus Water Ski Federation, Florentia Loizidou won the silver medal and Stella Anastasi the bronze medal in the U14 girls slalom, while Artemis Constantinou came in 8th.

A total of 22 athletes from 12 countries competed in the U14 girls slalom.

Giorgos Papaconstantinou qualified for the BU17 slalom finals, and came in 7th among 32 athletes.

The Cypriot team comprised seven athletes and trainer Maxim Diki.

With the results in Ukraine, Cyprus ranks 9th among 13 countries in U14 and 14th among 20 countries in U17, and 11th overall among 20 countries.

The European youth championship is held annually with athletes from Europe and Africa.
