Appeal to identify two men in connection with violent assault in North London

Police are appealing for information to identify two men who are wanted for questioning in connection with a violent assault on a couple in NW6.

The victims, a 43-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were walking along Fairfax Road, NW6 at around 0115hrs on Sunday, 10 June when they can across a man urinating in the street.

When the victims challenged the male, three further suspects, two males and female, joined the urinating male from a car parked nearby and the males proceeded to assault the victims.

The male victim suffered injuries including a bleed on the brain, a broken jaw, eye damage and severe bruising.

The 34 year-old female victim had hair pulled out and suffered bruising when she was thrown to the ground.

Detective Constable Angela Greaves, investigating, said: “I am keen to identify and apprehend those responsible for this needlessly vicious attack on a couple making their way home after a night out. I urge anyone who can put a name to the faces of the men pictured to call without delay. Any information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

The female suspect did not take part in the assault.
