Appeal following robbery on 12 year old boy onboard bus in north London

Detectives are appealing for help to identify a male they wish to speak with following a robbery onboard a bus in north London.

At approximately 16:45hrs on Friday, 13 July, the suspect boarded a Route W7 bus on Muswell Hill Broadway before sitting behind the 12-year-old victim who was on the upper deck.

He threatened to hurt the victim unless he handed over his mobile phone

The suspect is described as black, about 5ft 9ins tall and of large build. He is believed to be aged in his mid to late teens.

He got off the bus on Grosvenor Gardens.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who was on the bus or who recognises the teenager.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
