Fire in Stroud Green, Finsbury Park

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat above a shop in Stroud Green Road in Islington.

A two-roomed flat on the second floor was destroyed by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1546 and the fire was under control at 1629. Fire crews from Holloway, Kentish Town and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
