An 82-year-old Cypriot who suffered a serious medical problem during British Airways flight BA662 from Heathrow to Larnaca Airport died after the plane landed in Vienna.

According to reports, the 82-year-old has been living in London for many years and was travelling with his wife to Cyprus to visit family.

British Airways flight BA662 bound for Larnaca International Airport has been diverted to Vienna after a medical emergency on the flight.

A passenger, who suffered a serious health problem, is reported dead.

The flight was expected to land in Larnaca at 18:20 local time but it will delayed.
