Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a derelict barn on Broomfield Park in Southgate yesterday evening.

Part of the ground floor, first floor and roof of the barn was damaged by fire.

The Brigade was called at 2105 and the blaze was under control by 0023.  Crews from Southgate, Finchley, Edmonton, Enfield, Hornsey and Hendon fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
