Andreas Kotsiou sadly passed away yesterday morning Sunday 1st of May 2017 at the age of 97.
He leaves behind two daughters and one son Marianna, Photini (who works for Parikiaki) and Bambos who lives in §outh Africa. Son in law George and daughter in law Joy.
Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
And two brothers Kyriacos and Niko.
Andreas Kotsiou was from Famagusta and worked as a taxi driver and was the driver for Yuri Gagarin the first man to travel into space when Yuri visited Cyprus in 1962.
Andreas came to live in London in 1974.
Andreas fought in World War Two and ended up as a prisoner of War in Germany.
He also received an award for his services to AKEL from the President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias.
Parikiaki would like to extend their condolences to the family.
