Detectives in Barnet are appealing for information and witnesses following an attempted sexual assault.
The victim, a woman in her thirties, was followed by the suspect as she walked along in York Way, N20 in the middle of the day at 11:50hrs on Thursday, 4 May.
The suspect eventually caught up with the victim and grabbed her shoulders before pushing her. This caused her to fall to the ground.
As the woman lay on the floor on her hands and knees, the suspect exposed himself to her. The victim kicked out at him before managing to get away.
The suspect then made off towards Oakleigh Road North.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue
The suspect is described as a black male aged in his late teens or early twenties. He was wearing black Nike trainers, black tracksuit bottoms and a black jogging style top at the time of the attack.
It would appear that a number of vehicles passing by at the time of the attack honked their horns in an effort to ward off the attacker. Detectives are eager to hear from these drivers and other members of the public who were in the area at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call Barnet CID on 0208 733 4525 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
