In a KOPA Challenge Cup Quarter Final on Tuesday night at Haringey Borough. Apoel beat Pantel 2-0 to advance to the semi final to play the League Champions New Salamis in a mtach of the first division champions v Second Division Champions.

In a hard fought match where both teams Pantel and Apoel had opportunities to score at either end, it was left till the last ten minutes for Apoel to score two goals the first from Michael Spencer with a shot inside the box and a 25 yard free kick blaster from Andrew Chambi straight into the back of the net. Giving Apoel  a 2-0 win.
