Apoel and Apollon cruised to the Cyprus Cup final on May 24. Opponents Doxa Katokopias and Anorthoris respectively could not overturn their first leg defeats.

Apoel scored five goals against Doxa, adding to the 2-0 win in the first leg. Apollon banking on their first leg 6-0 win got the ticket to the final despite their 0-1 defeat in Anorthosis turf.

Aloneftis, Artymatas and Bertoglio scored for Apoel in the first half. Igor de Camargo found the net after 71 minutes of play and Vinicius, who came in as a substitute, wrap up the score ten minutes before the end.

Oliveira scored for Anorthosis late in the first half. But the Famagusta team didn’t manage to find the net in the second.

Anorthosis played better through out the game. Apollon, though, was fortunate enough to have goalkeeper Bruno Vale in fine form, especially in the second half.
