A woman was rescued by firefighters from a flat blaze on Lansdowne Road in Tottenham last night.

Most of a ground floor flat was damaged by fire. A woman was rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. She was suffering from smoke inhalation and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 2255 and the fire was under control by 0017. Fire crews from Tottenham and Edmonton fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
