Mental health charity Mind has given Haringey Council an award for our commitment to workplace wellbeing.
We won bronze in the first Workplace Wellbeing Index, highlighting our hard work towards achieving positive change. We are the only council on the list, after we signed up to the index last year.
Haringey has been working towards reducing stigma and discrimination associated with mental ill health, promoting emotional wellbeing and helping our employees manage stress effectively.
We were given the award at a ceremony at London’s Soho Hotel, hosted by TV presenter, author and Mind ambassador, Anna Williamson.
Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index is a benchmark of best policy and practice. It is designed to celebrate the good work employers are doing to promote and support positive mental health, and to help employers improve even more.
Emma Mamo, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at Mind, said:
“The awards event provided an opportunity to recognise those forward-thinking employers who are working hard to promote good mental health and wellbeing among their workforce.”
