Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision on Oxford Street.
Police were called at 02:00hrs on Sunday, 9 April to reports of a collision between a Route N98 bus and a pedestrian in Oxford Street at the junction with Harewood Place, W1.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found a man, aged in his late 30s, injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 02:04hrs.
His next-of-kin have yet to be informed.
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
The bus driver stopped at the scene. They have not been arrested and are assisting police with their enquiries.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
Despite the collision occurring in the early hours of the morning, there would have been a number of people in the vicinity at the time and detectives are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
