Officers have launched an investigation following an assault at Stratford London Underground station.
The incident happened on 16 March at 8.30pm on platforms six and eight.
An altercation took place on a Central Line train which then spilled onto the platforms at the station.
A man aged 34 was surrounded by a group of men and women.
It is believed that two people out of the group assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him.
The man fell to the floor but the two people kept on punching and kicking him. The group ran off in an unknown direction.
The man suffered cuts to the head and face.
Investigating officer DC Jon Howlett said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this altercation. It wasn’t particularly late in the evening and I would expect that there would have been a fair few people on the platform who may have witnessed this.
“If you were there at the time of have any information about the altercation or about the people that were involved please call us. Everyone has the right to travel on the rail network without any fear or crime or intimidation.”
