Detectives in Haringey have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an allegation of voyeurism in Wood Green.

On Sunday, 12 March, police were called to the Morrisons on High Road in Wood Green to reports of a man taking photographs under a lady’s skirt.

At 15:25hrs, a 36-year-old woman was shopping in the store when she noticed a man behind her. As she turned around, she saw the man kneeling behind her with his phone under her skirt. When she challenged the man, he replied “no English” and hastily ran away.

CCTV cameras outside the store caught him running away.

The suspect [ref: 242265] is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark hooded coat over a blue shirt, dark blue tracksuit trousers with white stripes down the outer leg and black shoes.

Detective Constable Annette Corry, from Haringey CID, said: “We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed this incident to contact us.”
