Detectives are renewing appeals for information and witnesses after a collision in Barnet which resulted in the death of an elderly woman.

Police were called at 10:54hrs on Saturday, 25 February to Lyttelton Road in East Finchley to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

The pedestrian was taken by air ambulance to a central London hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly before 13:00hrs.

She has been named as 96-year-old Daphne Edwards of Barnet.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as multiple injuries.

The driver stopped at the scene and assisted officers with their enquiries. There have been no arrests.
