Goals galore at Dagenham and Redbridge FC where the semi final was held in front of hundreds of fans in glorious sunshine and exciting for all the fans.
Last years FA Sunday Cup winners New Salamis got off to a good start when Alex Addai crossed and Ryan Hervel was there to knock it into the back of the net. Chessington United who beat Omonia in the previous round were back in the game when they were awarded a penalty which Ahmed Alsanawi equalised to make it 1-1. Minutes later Alex Addai added a second to make it 2-1 to the red’s. It was now game on with Deniz Mehmet passing two players before slotting home to make it 3-1 and just before the break Chessington United’s Todd Murphy scoring from a free kick to go in at half time New Salamis 3-2 up.
Second half New Salamis were quick off the mark and increased their lead to 4-2 with a Mark Kirby header then a Ryan Hervel free kick gave New Salamis a 5-2 lead before Deniz Mehmet put in the finishing touches to finish the game 6-2 winners and two years on the trot for New Salamis in the final this time versus Hardwick FC who beat Home Bargain FC in the other semi final and the Cup final is to be staged at a Premier League stadium yet to be arranged.
