Police in Kensington and Chelsea have released footage of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a distraction theft on an elderly man.

On 15 November 2016, police were called at 14:00hrs to a Shell Petrol Station on Old Brompton Road, Kensington. Two men had distracted a 79-year-old man before stealing his beloved BMW M3 car.

CCTV cameras captured the two suspects.

The two suspects are described as:

‘Suspect One’ is described as approximately 5ft 6ins tall, with short black hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a white ‘Fly Emirates’ logo on the front, a dark red top and blue jeans.

‘Suspect Two’ also had short black hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a white logo on the front, a black coat, blue jeans and black shoes.

Detective Constable Scott Lockington, from Notting Hill CID, said: “This is an abhorrent crime targeting a vulnerable member of our society. We are keen to identify the two suspects in the CCTV footage so that we can bring these offenders to justice. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
