Cyprus’ under-19 team finished off their European Championship Elite Round campaign in Germany on Tuesday with a 0-0 draw against Serbia.

Neophytos Larkou’s side picked up their first point following consecutive defeats to Germany (1-2) and Slovakia (0-5) to finish bottom of the section. Both sides had chances in the game with Theodosis Siathas, Leonidas Kyriakou and Nicolas Mattheou going close.

“My players were focused from start to finish and we could have won the game,” said Larkou.

Serbia finished the group second to qualify with Germany – who had thrashed Slovakia 4-0 in the other group game.
