The Republic of Cyprus has participated for the first time in the multinational exercise NOBLE DINA together with the US, Israel and Greece.
A press release by the Ministry of Defence, issued today, says that Cyprus participated on the 28th of March in the exercise and that the Joint Rescue Coordination Center of Larnaka coordinated the Search and Rescue part of the exercise, which took place in Cyprus` area of responsibility, while officers of the Navy command were aboard Israeli and Greek vessels as observers.
The exercise is being conducted at the sea area of the Eastern Mediterranean. It is an annual exercise of large scale, established in recent years by the participating states.
