Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Enfield have made an arrest.

 

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 07:23hrs on 15 December to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Holtwhites Hill in Enfield. The vehicle did not stop.

 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He was Andrew Lindup, 36, an IT consultant, originally from Solihull but living in Enfield.

 

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Chadwell Heath are investigating.

 

A vehicle was recovered in Edmonton on Thursday, 29 December, which led to officers making contact with a 24-year-old man. The man attended a north London police station on Friday, 30 December, where he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

 

The man has been bailed to return on a date in late April 2017.
