Cypriot double paralympic gold medallist, Karolina Peledritou, clinched a bronze medal in women`s breastroke, in the context of the IPC European Open Championships taking place in Funchal, Portugal.
Pelendritou finished third behind Germany`s Elena Krawsow and Britain`s Rebecca Redfern, clocking a time of 1:18:60.
This was Karolina`s third consecutive medal in a European Swimming Championships event, while Peledritou decision to compete in the final was taken at the last minute due to injury.
Following the bronze in Funchal, Pelendritou amassed 15 medals in big sporting events.
Karolina`s next target is the Rio Paralympic Games where she will claim a medal for the fourth consecutive time.
