Police are appealing for any witnesses to a road traffic collision in Hoe Street, Walthamstow.

Police were called at 17:50hrs on Thursday, 28 May, to reports of a bus in collision with a cyclist on Hoe Street, E17.

A 55-year-old male cyclist, riding a unicycle, was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The bus – a route 212 – stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.

This is the dramatic moment the heroic crowd rushed to save the life of a unicyclist by lifting a double-decker bus after he became trapped beneath its wheels.
