A 65 year old British tourist is in intensive care in Paphos Hospital after suffering heat stroke.
The Briton was admitted to hospital on Sunday. Doctors said on Monday that his condition had stabilised.
The man was staying with friends in Tala. He was taken to hospital around 3.00 pm on Sunday in a semi-comatose condition. His friends told doctors that he had been lying in the sun drinking beer for considerable time. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of Paphos Hospital where he spent the night. His condition is improving and he is expected to be moved to another ward soon.
