Greek Cypriot CMP member concerned over number of successful excavations
The Greek Cypriot member of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) Nestoras Nestoros has expressed concern over the decrease in the success of excavations carried out as part of investigations by the CMP to establish the fate of missing persons, saying it is indispensable to re-evaluate the data included in the missing persons` files in order to achieve inflow of information and a more targeted effort.
In an interview with CNA, Nestoros said that an effort is underway to look into all cases, in parallel with the dossiers on missing persons for better management and more targeted excavations and exhumations.
“We must continue and improve our cooperation with regard to the excavation sites, have better and more coordinated planning,” he said, and appealed to all those who have information on the fate of missing persons to come forward and help solve this humanitarian …
