A more active contribution of the EU in the Cyprus problem is necessary
Α more active contribution of the EU in the efforts to solve the Cyprus problem is necessary, Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides stresses in a written statement on the occasion of Europe`s Day.
In his statement, the Spokesman notes that Cyprus is historically linked with the European family and contributes to the realisation of the european dream, which is a democratic, peaceful and prosperous European continent.
Christodoulides points out that the comprehensive solution of the Cyprus problem, which will lead to the reunification of Cyprus, should be consistent with the fundamental principles and values of the EU and in this framework, a more active contribution of the EU in the efforts to solve the Cyprus problem is necessary.
