Woman who went missing found dead in Nicosia
Investigators today hope that an autopsy report of a Nicosia woman, who went missing from her home before being later found dead, sheds light on the cause of death.
Poly Theodotou, 60, had gone missing from her house on Saturday morning before her body was discovered in the early hours of Sunday morning in an abandoned house on Volou street in Engomi. According to police, the woman was found half-naked and with a cable attached around her neck.
CID investigators are still trying to establish whether or not foul play is involved or if her death is attributed to suicide. A preliminary examination of the body by state pathologists Sofocles Sofocleous and Nicolas Charalambous failed to establish whether or not foul play was involved.
