A 32 year old worker from Romania was crushed to death in Frenaroson Tuesday afternoon  when the walls of the ditch he was working in collapsed. The victim was working on the sewerage project in the free Famagusta area.
CyBC’s correspondent said he was laying a pipe in a two metre ditch, when the sides gave way, crushing him to death.
He was freed by fellow workers and first responders and taken to Famagusta Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The scene has been cordoned off as police and labour inspectors investigate the incident.
