Cyprus Presidents Nicos Anastasiades begins on Monday contacts in Abu Dhabi in the framework of a four-day visit to Abu Dhabi and Dubai aiming at attracting foreign investments. He is accompanied by his spouse Andri Anastasiades and a high level delegation.

According to an official press release, the Cypriot delegation includes Minister of Finance Harris Georgiades, Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, Deputy Minister to the President Constantinos Petrides, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexandros Zenon and the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President Nicos Christodoulides.

Today, Anastasiades and his delegation will attend a dinner with local businessmen in Abu Dhabi.

On April 15, the President will hold separate meetings with Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund Abdulrahman Al Hamidy and CEO of the Mubadala Development Company Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak. Later on, he will visit the Mushrif Palace where he will be officially received by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The official ceremony will be followed by talks between the two delegations, which will be followed by the signing of bilateral agreements. On the same day, the President will meet with Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (AIDA) Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, followed by a meeting with Director General of the renewable sources company IRENA Adnan Amin.

On April 16, the President will visit Dubai, where he will pay a tribute to the Tomb of the Founder of the Nation Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at the Grand Mosque. The President of the Republic will also address a Business Forum organised by the Chambers of Commerce of Dubai and Cyprus, to be attended by a large number of Cypriot businesspeople.

Later in the day, the President will meet with Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. He will also meet with CEO of the property development company `Emaar`Abdullah Lahaj and Managing Director of the company Ahmad Al Matrooshi.

The President of the Republic and the Cypriot delegation will depart from Dubai for Cyprus on April 17.
