A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in South Tottenham.

Police were called at around 11:35hrs on Sunday, 27 April to reports of a deceased male on overgrown open ground between Ermine Road, N15 and the nearby railway line.

Officers attended and the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was found with a suspected head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have not been informed and enquiries to trace them are underway.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

A post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

Three men near the scene – aged 32 [A], 50 [B] and 30 [C] – were arrested in connection with the death and have been taken into custody at a north London police station.
