Manchester United’s Nicholas Ioannou has completed a move to Apoel Nicosia according to the Man Utd official website

The centre-back has been officially unveiled as an Apoel player after agreeing a switch back to his native Cyprus.

The 18-year-old made his Old Trafford debut as a 16-year-old, in the FA Youth Cup win against Charlton Athletic, but missed a large chunk of the 2012/2013 season after sustaining an injury at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.

Nonetheless, Ioannou was regularly involved with the Under-18s this term and also featured in the UEFA Youth League for the Reds.

The defender captained the team on his final Academy appearance when helping keep a clean sheet against southern section leaders Tottenham Hotspur in a 1-0 victory.

We would like to wish Nicholas all the best for his future career.
