THE M25 will be closed while improvement works take place from tonight (Wednesday April 23).

The clockwise carriageway will be closed between junction 25 (A10) and 27 (M11) overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am tonight and tomorrow night.

A diversion will be in place via the A10, A406 and M11.

In addition, the clockwise entry slip road at junction 25 will be closed on Friday (April 25) between 11pm and 6am and on Saturday between 10pm and 6am.

A diversion will be place via junction 24.

Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place on both carriageways while the improvement works take place
