Cyprus will be participating with a budget of €357,000 in the first call for proposals in the joint European programme Αctive and Assisted Living (ΑΑL2), which aims at improving the quality of life of the elderly.

According to the Investment Promotion Agency, the call titled `CARE FOR THE FUTURE – An Ageing society faces an increasing need for care, how will ICT contribute to sustainable solutions?`, aims at developing new innovative solutions based on information and communication technologies, concerning the use and support of sustainable care systems for the elderly.
