President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades will attend the extraordinary EU Summit meeting on the issue of the situation in Ukraine that will take place on Thursday. He will leave Cyprus on Wednesday for Brussels.

According to an official press release, on Thursday, 6 March, the President will participate in the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Europe, and late in the afternoon he will depart for Dublin, Ireland, where he will attend the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the European Popular Party (EPP), during which there will be elections for the selection of the candidate of the EPP for the Presidency of the European Commission.

President will make an Intervention during the proceedings of the EPP.

He will be accompanied by the Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides and the Deputy Minister to the President Constantinos Petrides.

The President of the Republic and the members of the Cyprus delegation will depart from Dublin for Cyprus in the evening of Friday, March 7.
