Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward after a 61-year-old pedestrian was left seriously injured in a collision at a zebra crossing in Enfield.

Police were called to Bowes Road outside Arnos Grove at 2036hrs on Friday 28th February 2014 to reports of a road traffic collision.

Upon arrival they found a 61-year-old male pedestrian suffering serious injuries to his leg and a dislocated shoulder following a collision with a car. The man was subsequently taken to a north London hospital by London Ambulance Service where he received treatment for his injuries.

The car failed to stop at the scene.
