Authorities are searching for a teenager suspected of throwing a petrol bomb at a police patrol car during the early hours of Monday.
Police said two officers were sent to investigate a noise complaint and reports of a street party in the Ayios Athanasios area at around 12.30am. When the patrol car approached a group of youths a teenager threw a Molotov cocktail at the vehicle, narrowly missing it, before fleeing the scene on foot. After questioning several eyewitnesses police were given the name of a local teenager as a possible suspect in the attack.
