Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a couple were shot at in the early hours.
Police said that the pair, a 46-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were getting out of a car outside a house in Apaisia village in the Limassol district when the shots were fired at 1am on Monday, injuring them both in the pelvis.
The couple managed to get to Limassol Hospital for treatment and the police were notified. The shots were fired with a hunting rifle, investigations have shown.
The couple on Monday morning remained under police protection at Limassol Hospital for treatment. Their condition is described as being out of danger.
