Police are on the hunt for two armed suspects who robbed a kiosk during the early hours of Monday and made away with a yet unestimated amount of cash.
According to the authorities, the hooded perpetrators walked into the shop in the Kato Polemidia area at around 12.15am and threatened the 19-year-old cashier with a handgun. The staff member attempted to sound the alarm but was knocked to the ground by one of the assailants. The robbers then grabbed cash out of the till and several packets of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a white saloon car. The suspects are described as being of large build and were wearing military gear at the time of the heist.
