Veteran British pop star George Michael is still having to fend off questions about his sexuality from members of his family who are convinced he is not really gay.
The ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker was forced to ‘come out’ as a homosexual after he was arrested for lewd behaviour in a public restroom in a Beverly Hills, California park in 1998, and he has lived openly as a gay man ever since.
However, the 50 year old admits some relatives simply refuse to believe that he isn’t straight.
He tells the BBC, “For some strange reason, my gay life didn’t get easier when I came out. Quite the opposite happened, really.
“The press seemed to take some delight that I previously had a ‘straight audience,’ and set about trying to destroy that. And I think some men were frustrated that their girlfriends wouldn’t let go of the idea that George Michael just hadn’t found the ‘right girl’ (yet). Which is still what a lot of my extended family still think!”

That is so weird hearing this since we know the family and his father meets up with my family in Cyprus and all know about his sexuality. From years back they knew even conversed about this but Kyriakos didn’t even bother with the matter. Why cant people just leave him alone?
To me it is not of importance whether George Michael is gay, straight etc. It is his own business. George Michael has given us such beautiful music and he is extremely talented. The only thing that ever has been a problem is seeing George Michael possibly waste his talent as it is an amazing gift he has. I hope George Michael records more music soon for release, the symphonica album is amazing.
