All scheduled House committee meetings have been suspended for today (Wednesday) as MPs are demanding permanent medical and paramedic staff within the building, following a serious delay in the arrival of an ambulance.
The incident occurred when a reporter became unwell during the House Legal Affairs committee and the ambulance arrived at the scene 30 minutes after it was called.
Two psychiatrists who were participating in the meeting gave the reporter first aid.
House president Yiannakis Omirou was also present.
