Forty eight members attended the Cypriot Golf Society AGM on Thursday 20th February at Trios Banqueting Rooms, Palmers Green where a meal was also served.
The current Captain Andrew Savva presented a cheque of £3550.00 which was raised by the society at various events to Bobby Pericleous and Tracey Periclis for the Eleni Pericleous Leukaemia Fund.
Ms Bobby Pericleous thanked the Captain and all the members for their generous support and then explained how the money is spent helping young sufferers to recovery and normal life.
The Captain also presented trophies to last year’s fourball winners and runners up: Winners: Peter Sandamas and Michael Tsangarides. Runners up: Andy Savva and Stathis Liasi.
The AGM followed with the Captain, President, Secretary, Treasurer, Competitions and Handicaps presenting their annual reports.
Peter Sandamas stepped down after 24 years on the committee as did Michael Tsangarides after 3 years and were congratulated and thanked by the Society for their services.

President : Louis Tsioupra, Captain : Panayiotis Krase, Vice-Captain: Tony Philippou, Secretary: Louis Leonidas, Treasurer : Savvas Savva, Competitions: Panayiotis Poyiadzis, Handicaps: Evangelos Evangelou, Public Relations: Andrew Savva.
The first event of the season the Liveras Foundation Trophy will take place on Thursday 3rd April at Sandy lodge Golf Club.
