An inter-communal cycling tour of around 200 participants, many of them Greek and Turkish Cypriots, took place in Famagusta in the occupied part of Cyprus  on Sunday.

The event was organised by the Famagusta Youth Organisation under the slogan ‘Pedal for Peace’.

The youth organisation’s president Cansu Canalp said the aim of the cycling event was to support the peace negotiations currently underway. He emphasised that it was their  greatest wish for “all peoples to live in peace on the island”.
